The module ‘Concrete Anchor’ of PC Pack designs ‘welded headed studs’, that are welded to steel plates or other structural members, and embedded in unconfined concrete. These studs are designed to resist direct tension, shear or combination of the two. Either the strength of the concrete or of the steel may be critical, therefore both has been checked. The design has been limited to ‘headed studs’.

The design is based on the provisions of ‘Building Code Requirements for Structural Concrete’ (ACI 318-08) and PCI Design Handbook 7th Edition.
